The Graphic Designer (Intern) will serve as a member of a product development team responsible for creating/maintaining over 100 published HR compliance information products, including 6 newsletter publications, white papers, checklists, videos, webinars, workplace posters, monthly new products, and product revisions. The product development team is a multi-faceted product support group and team members are expected to be flexible and take initiative to assist each other. The Graphic Designer (Intern) will report to the Director of Research and Product Development, and will be supervised by the Senior Graphic Designer. Various projects may also be assigned by the Editorial Team. This internship is expected to last 12-18 weeks, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time position when the collegiate degree is earned.
Must be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program for Visual Arts & Graphic Design, possessing a minimum three years of completed collegiate education. In addition, the following computer-related experience is required:
- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite version 5.5 and higher, specifically InDesign 5.5 or higher, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Experience with Dreamweaver and Adobe Premiere is preferred, but not required.
- Must be familiar with MS Office Suite
- Must have a keen eye for detail in all stages of the pre-production process, including layout and proofing
